Notice to all users:
The content on Simplemetry is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
This site is designed for healthy adults only
The recommendations on Simplemetry are intended for adults aged 18 and over with no diagnosed medical conditions, who are not taking prescription medications, and who are not pregnant or breastfeeding. If you fall outside this group, our recommendations may not apply to you — and in some cases may be inappropriate or harmful.
Do not use this site to self-diagnose or self-treat
Nothing on Simplemetry should be used to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. If you have or suspect you may have a health problem, consult your physician or another qualified healthcare provider before acting on any information here.
Always consult a healthcare provider before starting any supplement
This applies particularly if you are:
- Pregnant or planning to become pregnant
- Breastfeeding
- Over 60
- Managing a chronic health condition
- Currently taking any prescription or over-the-counter medication
This applies even to supplements generally regarded as safe.
Interactions and contraindications are real risks
Several supplements discussed on this site have documented interactions with commonly prescribed medications — including but not limited to warfarin, statins, metformin, levothyroxine, PPIs, and anticoagulants. We document major interactions in the Safety Notes on each supplement page, but these notes are not exhaustive. Your healthcare provider is the only person who can assess your specific medication regimen and health status.
Regulatory status
Supplements are not drugs. They are not required to demonstrate safety or efficacy before sale and are not approved by the FDA or EFSA to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. A small number of specific health claims (such as the FDA-approved claim linking psyllium fiber to reduced coronary heart disease risk) are noted where applicable and are exceptions to this general rule, not the norm.
Information may become outdated
Supplement research evolves. We review and update our content regularly, but we cannot guarantee that every page reflects the most current evidence at all times. When in doubt, consult primary sources or your healthcare provider.
